How to Level Up Fast in Classic WoW

If you’re tired of WoW grinding, then there’s a good chance you’ve come to the right place. The most likely reason you’ve stumbled upon our article is that you’ve dived into WoW Classic, suddenly realizing how much grinding is involved to progress.

If this sounds like you, then you’ve come to the right place!

There’s a heck of a lot of competitiveness going on on WoW Classic, and since Blizzard brought us the release on August 27th, new players have found this out the hard way.

WoW classic levelling up isn’t a turn off for everyone. However, many find the simpler version of the MMO more appealing than the base game. Many players will take on the challenge of reaching level cap as their sole reason to play WoW Classic, looking to find out what lurks in Classic’s endgame content. Without being a high enough level, for example, will mean being left out of attempting the limited-time raids and other content that comes up.

We don’t recommend using this WoW Classic levelling guide as a speedrunning guide, but rather to use the steps for the most painless route possible to levelling up faster.

    The right class is crucial

If level 60 is your prime objective in WoW Classic and the gameplay style isn’t on your radar, then it’d be wise to go for a class that has a focus on pure damage. Choose a class that doesn’t have a reliance on pets such as a Rogue or a Mage.

    Use the perfect weapons.

Once you’ve figured out which class is going to suit your levelling up needs, it is then essential to ensure you combine the right skills and weapons. Choose the ideal weapons to level up your character, and as a result, this will also level up their retrospective skillset. To choose a weapon, you’ll want to select something easily accessible for your chosen class and their corresponding unique attribute. Don’t stray from your chosen weapon while smashing through your waves of XP. Suppose you have missed after a miss in battle with a different weapon, this is time lost and swapping between weapons can cost valuable time to level a skill up again.

    Leave the starting arena asap

Players who’ve started WoW Classic or seen others playing it have no doubt seen vast numbers of players that build up in the starting zone. As a result, these players will hinder and slow down your progress as it will mean a wealth of competition for defeating monsters. While in the starting areas it is in player interests to do very little and to try and get out of here as soon as you can. That way you won’t be queueing up to take down mobs.

Take a look at this awesome power leveling service too which could also make levelling up much more manageable!

    The bottom line

While playing the most recent WoW expansions, it’s become common for players to level up faster in dungeons using spamming tactics and its still the most efficient way of reaching the desired level.

WoW Classic differs significantly due to the introduction of new WoW Classic dungeon layouts. Dungeon lockouts are more restrictive, and it’s trickier to locate a group and keep it active. On the other hand, if your friends are already maxed level, then dungeon spamming is your best option, assuming they’re happy to carry you. If you’re not lucky enough to have friends of that level, then periodic dungeon quests and standard questing is your best option.

Now, get out there and start levelling up!
