Danny Trejo reaffirms himself as an everyday hero today. He was able to help save a child that had been trapped in an overturned vehicle after an accident in Slymar. Just after 3pm today an SUV and car collided near Hubbard Street and Jackman Avenue. Trejo and another woman jumped into action to save the child who was now stuck in the vehicle along with his grandmother.
“A young lady had to crawl through the window because I couldn’t get the baby out — I couldn’t unbuckle the seat belt. She got in and undid the seat belt, I pulled the baby out the other side.”

Trejo went on to say that the only thing that saved that babies life was the car seat. Had the infant not been properly secured it would have been a much sadder story. He took the child to a safe place and then waited for the Fire Fighters. You can see the complete coverage from ABC7 below.
