Get ready for Summerween (that’s for those of us who celebrate Halloween year round) because Disneyland is celebrating 50 years of it’s Haunted Mansion.
Starting in August, some spooky fun will rise from beyond the grave in honor of the classic attraction Haunted Mansion in the Disneyland theme park.
The gallery on Main St. will be home to the “Happy Haunts Materialize – The Art of Haunted Mansion” exhibit is open starting August 9.
Treat yourself to a self guided tour through the history of the Haunted Mansion and enjoy a wide array of art from conceptual to inspired.
Do not let your excitement end there however- Disneyland will be hosting two overnight events in honor of your ghoulish friends down in New Orleans Square.
The Haunted Mansion: Celebrating 50 Years of Retirement Unliving events will be held August 7-8, 2019 and August 8-9, 2019.
Start your day at at 10:00am and with check-in and a special shopping event at the Disneyland Hotel that runs until 11:00pm. Ticketed guests can pre-purchase select merchandise for pickup that day.
Beginning at 11:30pm, guests can start lining up for the after hours special anniversary event.
Some things to look forward to include:
-A 13th Hour Celebration Kick-Off moment on the Rivers of America where Madame Leota will “conjure up the ensuing party festivities.” The celebration will also include musicians, dancers, and other performers.
-Photo opportunities that re-create favorite scenes from the Haunted Mansion. Ticketed guests will receive unlimited digital Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the event.
-Themed food and beverage menu items will be available from select park locations.
-Roaming “dearly departed souls and otherworldly characters” will be mingling with guests.
