Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Is Being Pushed to 2020

In another example that the people of the Interwebs hold the keys to success, Director Jeff Fowler via twitter has announced that the release of Sonic the Hedgehog has been delayed by three months. All to allow the Visual FX department time to recreate and re-design Sonic.

    What prompted this change? Well…US!

Social media was in an uproar following the release and trailer of the movie. The focus mostly lay on the design of Sonic himself. Below you can see an artist rendition of what Sonic should more closely look like compared to what was revealed. In this graphic you can really see a difference in the eyes.

Thoughts and prayers to the VFX team doing the work for a second time. Hopefully they can post the office address so we can send them sugar packets to stay live.

Sonic the Hedgehog is now scheduled for release on February 14, 2020.
