Lenovo showcased a PC designed to look like the famous NCC- 1701A last year at Lenovo Tech World Conference in Beijing. If you needed another reason to stick a model of the Enterprise on your desk here it is. The computer is a beast and a beautiful tribute to the beloved Star Trek series.
Like the Enterprise it has some pretty impressive stats. It supports up to Intel Core 9th generation Core processor (overclocked CPU to 120W), NVDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card, 32G DDR4 memory, 1TB M.2 solid state drive + 2TB mechanical hard disk. It also has the ability to function as a gaming computer and sports LAN+Killer Wi-Fi.
The front of the main unit is a 400 oz (ANSI) lumen intelligent projector that can be used for projects and conferences. The machine has 16 million RGB Symphony, equipped with App interactive custom LED strips.
It’s cost however is $1.5-3 million and has not been put on the market. Most likely due to copyright laws. If they ever sell a version of this let’s hope it’s cheaper and widely available. Because if I had this computer you bet I would be playing a Star Trek MMO almost all the time. And you better call me Captain.
