Turtle Rock Studios are the brilliant minds behind the Left For Dead Franchise as well as Evolve. They’ve recently announced that they partnered up with Warner Bros for a next gen coop FPS game named Back 4 Blood.
Turtle Rock made it clear that this is not in fact a Left For Dead 3, but something of a spiritual successor. In a statement they said. “Designed from the ground-up as an original, premium title and marries the best of what made the co-op zombie shooter so successful with new features and state-of-the-art technology”. “We get to return to a genre that was born in our studio with over ten years of additional experience and zombie ideas racked up in our brains”. This was said by Chris Ashton one of Turtle Rocks Co-Founders.
They look to build off what they made in Left For Dead in regards of killing zombies in all sorts of fun ways. And look to do it again but in a more unique style this time around. As of right now there is no release date for the game all we know is that it will be for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game will have a campaign mode as well as a PVP mode as well.
