Activision announced today that the highly anticipated Spyro Reignited Trilogy will not make its scheduled release date of September 21. Instead, players can now expect the game collection to launch on November 13.
Developer Toys for Bob defends the delay as being necessary for “more love and care” to be put into the final product. In a blog post, co-studio head Paul Yan states that ” [he] really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”
The Reignited Trilogy will come with updated versions of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The collection will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Pre-orders for the collection are available on the Game Stop website.
