    Dude, Where’s My Aquaman Trailer?

I’ve always wondered when people think is the best time to start advertising a movie. A year away from its release? Eight months?

Well we have definitely passed both of the aforementioned thresholds with regards to the upcoming installment to the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman. Set to dive into theaters on December 21, 2018 fans are eagerly awaiting any form of a good movie from Warner Brothers. But what’s a little unusual is lack of buzz about the project for a debut that is now less that seven months away.

I do my best to stay on top of the latest DCEU news and all I’ve gotten on Aquaman was the article on the film’s supposed test screening we here at Nerdbot ran back on February 24th. In fact, director James Wan noticed, and took to Twitter to give us an update. Check out the Tweets below!

Wan’s Twitter handle is @creepypuppet? I’m sure I don’t want to know but I got to respect a guy who assumes responsibility. Notice how he didn’t blame the studio, that’s a straight up dude in my opinion. Though there’s no specific date on the trailer’s debut, hopefully we’ll see it soon.

Personally I feel a later release on the trailer is a genius marketing move. The Justice League came out on DVD not that long ago and so trying to get the word out on another DC project may not be the best idea. Hold off for a while, let people who didn’t like Justice League forget about it, after they’ve calmed down a little bit… hit them with something new.
