Nintendo had a surprise Nintendo Direct today to showcase some upcoming news for the Nintendo Switch. Here’s a breakdown of the stuff that was announced.

    • The World Ends with You -Final Remix- announced for the Nintendo Switch. The port of the DS game will include a new “sizable” story scenario. The game is launching at some point in 2018.
    • Pokken Tournament DX is receiving 2 DLC packs featuring new playable and support characters including Blastoise. The first pack will be available January 31. The second pack will be available in March.
    • Kirby Star Allies for the Nintendo Switch was given an official release date of March 16.
    • Hedule Warriors Definitive Edition announced for the Nintendo Switch. This version will include all DLC maps and characters from the Wii U and 3DS versions. The game is slated for a Spring 2018 release date.
    • Mario Tennis Aces, a new Mario Tennis game, was announced. Aces will feature a story mode consisting of varied missions and boss fights. The game is slated for a Spring 2018 release date.
    • Ys VIII is coming to the Nintendo Switch in Summer 2018.
    • A free update to Super Mario Odyssey adds a mode that allows players to hide balloons throughout the world and then challenging other players to find them in a short amount of time.
    • SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy was announced. Tag Team Frenzy is a fighting game consisting of a, presumably, all-female cast of characters from SNK franchises. The game is planned for a Summer 2018 release date.
    • Donkey Kong will be added to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle in a DLC pack slated for this spring.
    • Payday 2 was given an official release date. The game will release on February 27.
    • Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is being ported to the Nintendo Switch on May 4. This version will allow players to play as Funky Kong.
    • Dark Souls Remastered was announced. The remastered version of the original Dark Souls includes all DLC and will release on May 25.
