Timur Turlov was born on November 13, 1987, in Lobnya, near Moscow. He grew up in an ordinary family but soon showed interest in finance and investments. As a teenager, he received a small inheritance of around one thousand dollars from his grandfather. He used this money to buy shares in a Russian company. Even though his first attempt at investing did not bring profit, it sparked a passion for financial markets that guided his future.

    Education and Career Foundation

Turlov studied at the Moscow State University of Aviation and Technology. He completed his degree in economist-management in 2009. During his student years, he began working at World Capital Investments in Moscow. Later, he joined Uniastrum Bank, where he helped build access to American stock exchanges. These experiences gave him valuable knowledge about brokerage services and international finance. His work in these early years shaped the skills he needed to build his own business.

    The Birth of Freedom Finance

In 2008, during the global financial crisis, Turlov decided to take a bold step. He founded his own company, Freedom Finance. The goal was to provide investors with access to leading global stock exchanges like NASDAQ, NYSE, and CME. Starting a company in such a difficult time was risky. Many people doubted the idea, but Turlov believed in the potential of his vision. Over time, Freedom Finance grew and attracted more clients, becoming the base for future expansion.

Moving to Kazakhstan and New Opportunities

Around 2011, Turlov saw great potential in Kazakhstan. The country had a growing demand for investment and brokerage services. He moved to Almaty with his family and set up an office there. This move was a turning point in his journey. By relocating to Kazakhstan, he connected with a market that was eager for financial innovation. In 2022, he officially became a citizen of Kazakhstan, strengthening his ties to the country.

    Building Freedom Holding Corp.

Freedom Finance soon became part of a larger group called Freedom Holding Corp. Under Turlov’s leadership, the company expanded its services and its reach. It grew from a small brokerage into a full financial ecosystem. Today, Freedom Holding Corp. provides services in trading, investment, insurance, trust management, ticketing, and payment systems. The company has more than five million clients across about twenty countries.

    Key Achievements of Timur Turlov

    • Founder and CEO of Freedom Holding Corp.
    • Billionaire entrepreneur with an estimated net worth of over three billion dollars
    • Expanded operations from Russia to Kazakhstan and beyond
    • Built Freedom Holding into a global brand listed on NASDAQ
    • Provides financial services to millions of clients in multiple countries

Freedom Holding on the Global Stage

One of Turlov’s biggest achievements was the listing of Freedom Holding Corp. on NASDAQ. This step gave the company global recognition and allowed it to attract new investors. The listing also showed that a company starting from a small office in Russia could grow into an international brand. With steady growth, the holding now generates billions in annual revenue.

    A Leader with a Vision

Turlov is not only a businessman but also a visionary leader. He believes in creating opportunities for ordinary people to invest and grow their wealth. His approach focuses on innovation and accessibility. By introducing modern tools and expanding services, he has made global markets more open to people in countries that had limited access before. His leadership has inspired many young entrepreneurs who see him as proof that big goals can be achieved with determination.

    Kazakhstan as a Financial Hub

The move to Kazakhstan was more than just a business decision. It was also about helping the country grow as a financial hub. Under Turlov’s leadership, Freedom Holding became a bridge between Kazakhstan and global financial markets. This role has helped the local economy and given more people access to international investments. Turlov’s decision to gain citizenship shows his long-term commitment to the country.

    The Inspiring Journey Ahead

The journey of Timur Turlov is far from over. From a young boy in Lobnya with a small inheritance to a billionaire entrepreneur in Kazakhstan, his story is truly inspiring. He turned challenges into opportunities and built a company that stands on the global stage. As Freedom Holding Corp. continues to expand, Turlov’s vision will likely keep shaping financial services for millions of people around the world.
