Tom Hardy Returning for “Mobland” Season 3

Crisis averted everyone! We can all go back to our normal lives. We all remember where we were when the news first broke that Tom Hardy was “fired” from the set of Mobland. The Paramount+ drama features Hardy as a handler for a Mafia family. Joining him is Pierce Brosnan and Dame Helen Mirren. Things were looking bad there for a bit when rumors were flying that on-set hostility resulted in Hardy’s termination. Now everyone can rest easy because Hardy will return for the presumptive season 3.

    A Meeting with the Mob

The second season of the series hasn’t even aired yet, but the first did very well for Paramount+. To keep the momentum going, Hardy and the gang were already greenlit for season 2. The filming seemed to have not gone quite as well as anticipated. Issues seemingly arose from Hardy being tardy to set. This ruffled the feathers of writer, producer, and showrunner, Jez Butterworth. Following a recent meeting in London, it looks like things are patched up and good to go.

With Tom Hardy back in the fold, the writing team for season 3 is working on the next season. It still hasn’t officially been announced but with the success its already had, it’s pretty much locked in. Reportedly, Hardy was signed to a three season contract anyway so it would be a waste of money not to utilize his talents. Plus, if Helen Mirren has her say in thing, she loves working with him.

    A Hardy Looking Future

We will continue to keep you posted in the weeks to come. As we stated, season 3 hasn’t officially been given the greenlight. If something drastic happens that turns the fortune of this mob family on its head, we’ll be here to let you know. In the meantime, you can watch the first season on Paramount+. The second season should probably hit later this year. We’ll update you on that too if we hear otherwise. Or if Tom Hardy quits again; which would just be hilarious.
