Filmmaker Edgar Wright (“Last Night In Soho”) is a big fan of physical media in the age of digital-only releases. Earlier today, he announced an upcoming 4K steel book edition for his remake of “The Running Man” hitting shelves next month. To promote these releases, he even teased some special screenings of the film in Los Angeles, London, and Glasgow.

Details on those screenings will be announced by Wright in the hopefully not-too-distant future.

“In the meantime, here’s the cover art and, oh yes, just look at all those nutritious extras,” the announcement on X reads. “I know many of you still love additional material and behind-the-goodies, so we’re happy to provide. See you soon!”

Hey there. As you probably know, I believe in and am an avid collector of physical media. I’m glad I still get to make extras-packed discs for my films, and so I’m excited to release ‘The Running Man’ next month on Blu-Ray and Steel-book next month.
