It’s the 20th anniversary of James McTeigue’s film, “V For Vendetta,” and DC Studios isn’t holding back. Not only will the film return to theaters for a limited run, but a new series is in the works at HBO!

Reportedly, Pete Jackson (“The Death Of Bunny Munro”) will be writing this new adaptation of Alan Moore‘s legendary comic. DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran will both serve as executive producers.
At this point, that is all that is known about HBO’s still-developing “V For Vendetta” series.
The comic and film are both set in a future British dystopian society. It tells the story of Evey Hammond, a young freedom fighter plotting to overthrow the tyrannical government. All with the help of a fellow masked vigilante known only as V.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about this new “V For Vendetta” series as the project develops.
