What experts recommend for picking an online casino in the Middle East

Picking an online casino can involve many variables, and even for those who have years of experience in playing online casinos, it can still be tricky deciding which site to choose. There are so many different marketing ideas and promotions out there, and online casinos are scrambling to attract the most customers.

Now, in the Middle Eastern market, this is becoming a more pressing matter. Traditionally, online casinos have only aimed for Western markets like the UK and the US, and while they still make up a large portion of global casino revenue, growing markets throughout the Middle East and an influx of Western investment have tilted the axis.

A growing, global and essentially borderless form of gambling has emerged, as have digital-only payment methods like cryptocurrency, and they’re creating a new fabric within the gambling market that is rewriting the previous dynamic.

People are taking to online gaming tables, they’re betting at online casinos, and this rise brings opportunities and also reasons to be cautious – which is where expert opinion can be crucial in ensuring you end up playing at a site that is reliable and trustworthy.

    Exploring a burgeoning market

In the latter stages of the 20th century, the UK was the hub for all casino gaming innovations. It was the first country to properly legislate in the global gaming industry, and the 2005 Gambling Act is still largely considered the blueprint for other countries looking to develop legislation for their own domestic gambling sectors.

Across the Middle East, it is a market that is only just opening up. As initially reported by Arabcasinoguide.com, the UAE has recently granted six different casino gaming licenses. This is an entirely different scenario than a decade ago, when the idea of licensed casinos operating in this region of the world would’ve been highly unlikely.

Ultimately, the money involved is causing regulators across the Middle East to take notice. The UAE is a country that embraces a lot of Western culture; it is full of luxury hotels, and there has been a raft of wealthy UK tax exiles looking to take advantage of the low taxes in places like Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This influx of cash from prosperous economies brings cultural changes. With the potential for a multi-billion-dollar casino gaming industry in the Middle East, it’s not surprising to see the UAE take the lead, with other countries expected to follow suit.

Ticking the boxes – variables that make brands trustworthy

When it comes to online casinos, gamers consider different factors when deciding if a brand is trustworthy. For the experts, some factors are more important than others.

Firstly, the legitimacy of the site, its licensing and overall security are non-negotiable. Any site operating in the Middle East that lacks the correct licensing or is prone to a data breach or cyberattack is not the type of platform you want to share your personal and financial information with.

Expert review sites can be the best source of information about whether or not a site has a robust firewall and data protection systems in place, but you can also look for customer reviews and previous news items that detail whether or not the site has been subject to a breach in the past.

The rise of AI has created many opportunities throughout the world of business. However, in casino gaming, where authentic, personal opinions and original thought are most valuable, experts with decades of experience in the online casino industry are often a highly prized source of information.

Settling on a site that you like

As long as a casino brand can prove its licensing and legitimacy, and has a good track record of keeping customer data and information secure, it can explore hundreds of potential avenues for gaming. Some casino gamers will choose sites with a range of live table options, and if they are poker players, they will gravitate toward brands with marketing promotions and ideas that cater to their preference.

Likewise, if you enjoy slots, you might want to consider an operator offering a diverse range of slot gaming genres and themes, or those with marketing promotions specifically tailored to that market.

Alternative payment options have become a source of fresh marketing ideas in casino gaming, too. For instance, the rise of cryptocurrency and the rapidly expanding market have led to a range of new providers, all aiming to offer a way for crypto investors and traders to use their digital assets to play casino games online.

    Summary

While experts have their own individual criteria that they deem the most important, the benchmark to aim for is to access an online casino that is reputable and licensed, and boasts third-party auditing certification and high-grade SSL encryption.

Everything else is down to personal preference, but you must not compromise on these factors. Ensure that you are using expert knowledge and reviews to supplement your casino gaming experience; use it to fuel your own knowledge, and over time, you will be able to paint this picture clearly for yourself.

Keep an eye on market developments and the latest licensing and security trends – and most importantly, gamble within your limits and make yourself familiar with responsible gambling habits. By using this approach whenever you pick an online casino, you position yourself to enjoy it responsibly and safely, within suitable limits.
