Best Phones Under ₹15,000 in 2025: Moto G35 and Oppo K12x Make the Cut

Finding a good smartphone under ₹15,000 can be tricky. You want decent performance, a clear display and a camera that doesn’t disappoint.

The Moto G35 and Oppo K12x stand out as top choices in this range. Both phones offer excellent value for money, but they have different strengths. Let’s see which one suits your needs better.

Moto G35 Vs Oppo K12x: Key Specifications Comparison

    Display: Sharp vs Smooth

The Moto G35 takes the lead with its 6.72-inch Full HD+ display (1080 x 2400 pixels). You get crisp text and vivid colours with 392 PPI pixel density. The screen also includes Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection against scratches and drops.

The Oppo K12x has a slightly smaller 6.67-inch display but only offers HD+ resolution (720 x 1604 pixels). This means less sharp images and text. However, both phones support a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming. Both displays reach 1000 nits brightness, making them easy to use outdoors in bright sunlight.

    Performance: Speed Matters

The Oppo K12x wins in raw performance with its MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It runs at 2.4 GHz and comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM options. This setup handles multitasking and games better than the competition.

The Moto G35 uses the Unisoc T760 processor at 2.2 GHz with 4GB RAM. While decent for basic tasks, it might struggle with heavy games or running many applications together. Both phones use UFS 2.2 storage, which loads files quickly. You can also expand your storage up to 1TB with an SD card.

    Camera: Picture Perfect

The Moto G35 offers a better camera system with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The main camera captures detailed photos with good colour accuracy. The ultra-wide lens lets you fit more into your shots.

For selfies, the Moto G35 has a 16MP front camera that takes clear pictures for video calls and social media posts. The Oppo K12x features a 32 MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor. While it takes good photos, it lacks the versatility of an ultra-wide lens. The 8MP front camera is adequate but not as sharp as its competitor.

    Battery Life: All-Day Power

The Oppo K12x edges ahead with a 5100mAh battery and 45W fast charging. You can charge your phone from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes. This combination gives you excellent battery life and quick top-ups.

The Moto G35 has a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging. While the battery lasts a full day, charging takes longer than the Oppo device.

    Build Quality and Features

The Moto G35 includes useful extras like stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound, FM radio, and better water resistance (IP52 rating). It also offers cleaner software with fewer pre-installed applications.

The Oppo K12x has a more premium build with IP54 water resistance and comes with a protective case in the box. It also supports virtual RAM expansion, effectively giving you more memory for multitasking.

    Conclusion

Both phones offer great value under ₹15,000, but they suit different users. Choose the Moto G35 (₹10,249) if you want a sharp display, better cameras, and cleaner software.

Pick the Oppo K12x (₹12,269) if you need more performance, faster charging, and better build quality. Either choice will serve you well for everyday use and light gaming.
