Do you think education can transform lives? If not, make sure to watch out for Ata Thambaycha Naay on ZEE5 now. Knowledge is the key asset that can help people in dealing with the biggest challenges of life.  Ata Thambaycha Naay is not just a story but is a perfect showcase of the journey, determination and dignity of the most unexpected heroes. It is a wonderful Marathi comedy-drama that is inspired by the real-life journey of sanitation workers who dream big.

What makes  Ata Thambaycha Naay on ZEE5 So Special?

Ata Thambaycha Naay on ZEE5 is an amazing motivational Marathi comedy movie by Shivraj Waichal, whose stories revolve around the life and struggles of the everyday warriors of Maharashtra. It is a refreshing take that follows the story of the IV class workers of BMC. These workers are employed for the sanitisation services and are now looking forward to going to school and completing their education.

Completing an SSC task may not be that difficult for a normal person, but surely not easy at all for these workers. They are not only dismissed by society but are also underestimated by their family. It becomes quite difficult for them to achieve their goal while handling the everyday burden of full-day labour.

The story of the movie takes on an interesting twist when they are guided by a compassionate municipal officer, and that leads their journey towards education and empowerment. It is an emotional movie that brings out the perfect moments of being honest, small wins and believes in offering a clear message to society that it’s not the background that defines your potential, but it is your hard work and determination that do it.

Plot of  Ata Thambaycha Naay on ZEE5

Ata Thambaycha Naay is all about hope. The movie introduces the audience to two best friends, Sakharam Manchekar and Maruti Kadam, who are employed as sanitation workers in Mumbai. Their lives revolving around backbreaking daily labour tasks and limited aspirations take on a U-turn when they meet a senior BMC officer, Udhaykumar Shirurkar.

Udhaykumar sees potential in both rather than their limitations and asks them to complete their education.  Ata Thambaycha Naay brings up the perfect themes of laughter, pain, struggle and personal evolution. Both of the workers prefer joining a night school and face exams while performing their daily labour chores. The main thing that makes this plot different is that it is based on true-life events based on 2017, and that gives this movie emotional depth and societal relevance.

    Genre, Direction and Storytelling

Ata Thambaycha Naay is a best social comedy movie that offers a perfect message to society. It is an amazing movie by Shivraj Waichal, who has perfectly handled this sensitive story. Shivraj has maintained the vulnerability of the characters while keeping them strong, funny and focused. If we talk about the screenplay, it is co-written by Shivraj Waichal and Omkar Gokhale and ensures the pacing is steady and engaging. The humour inside the movie has arisen organically, sometimes even through the innocence of the characters.

The dialogues of this wonderful movie are kept simple, relatable and connecting and include different lines that the audience will remember for a longer time. The cinematography of the movie has been done by Mayuresh Joshi, whereas Gulraj Singh has done its music and has added layers to the story. The movie comes up with a light tone and connects with the audience.
