Disney Parks are “a place where dreams come true,” but some people are taking that way too literally. Monday night, a pair of minors, who were suspected of stealing a car, led police on a chase through Orange County, California. Eventually, the alleged thieves decided to use a busy Disneyland parking structure to hide out.
Around 8pm on March 24th, the Orange County sheriff’s deputies began to pursue a stolen vehicle out of San Juan Capistrano. According to Sgt. Matt Sutter, the black Chevrolet Camaro was ditched in the Pixar parking lot at Disneyland. The minors decided to flee on foot to the busy parking garage where they attempted to hide.
The police responded by closing the parking lot to the public while they searched for the pair. Given that this is Disneyland and security cameras are everywhere, the duo were quickly apprehended.
Thankfully, this incident didn’t result in any damage or injuries. Sutter says the parking lot was fully operational within 30 minutes, so there wasn’t even a big blow to the park’s profits.
