The cast of DC Studio’s upcoming film “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is really starting to take shape. David Krumholtz (“The Santa Clause,” “Oppenheimer”) and Emily Beecham (“1899”) have just been confirmed to be attached to the project. The duo will be playing parents to the titular heroine.

“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is based on the Eisner-nominated comic mini-series of the same name by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. The comic centers around a young alien girl named Ruthye who teams up with Supergirl. The pair then set out on a journey to get revenge against Krem of the Yellow Hills, the man who killed Ruthye’s father. It isn’t certain at this time how faithful this adaptation will be, though.

The film is directed by Craig Gillespie (“Dumb Money”) from a script by Ana Nogueira (“Hightown”). Krumholtz and Beecham will be joining the previously announced Milly Alcock (“House of the Dragon”) as Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl. Eve Ridley (“3 Body Problem”) will play Ruthye, with Matthias Schoenaerts (“Amsterdam”) will play Krem, and Jason Momoa (“Aquaman”) will cameo as alien bounty hunter Lobo.
This project began shooting this week in DC Studios’ UK production hub in Leavesden.
“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is expected to hit theaters on June 26th, 2026. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the project as it develops.
