Everyone’s favorite claymation duo is back! Netflix just released the first teaser trailer for “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.”  The film will be the second feature-length movie in the stop-motion franchise alongside four short films.

“Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl”

“Vengeance Most Fowl” will have inventor Wallace and his pup Gromit facing off against evil penguin Feathers McGraw. A villain who was introduced in the 1993 short film “The Wrong Trousers.”

It all starts when Gromit becomes concerned that Wallace is too dependent on his inventions. A point that is proven when Wallace invents a “smart” gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own. When they discover that their old foe may be behind it all, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master.

The animated feature is co-directed by Emmy-nominee Merlin Crossingham and four-time Academy Award–winner Nick Park. From a script co-written by Park and Oscar-nominee Mark Burton.

“Returning to Wallace and Gromit is like meeting up with family friends,” Park told Netflix. “People respond to them because they feel so familiar. They’re like an old married couple in some ways, who know each other so well –– it’s a sort of love-hate relationship, but when the chips are down, they are always there for each other. Wallace pushes Gromit’s loyalty to the extreme, and Gromit always wants Wallace to change. It’s something everyone can relate to.”

And “Vengeance Most Fowl” is bringing back an old fan-favorite nemesis. “One of our most asked questions is ‘When will Feathers come back?’,” Crossingham said. “Well now is the time, and he’s back with a vengeance.”

    But What About The Gadgets?

Like a James Bond film, what is a Wallace and Gromit flick without new gadgets?!

“We are delighted to introduce Norbot, a ‘nifty odd-jobbing robot’ gnome, designed to help Gromit with his gardening chores,” Park and Crossingham said. “Norbot is Wallace’s most proud achievement to date and, according to Wallace, his ‘best invention ever’! Garden gnomes have long been a part of Wallace and Gromit’s world, but this is no cute patio ornament. Norbot is the ultimate gnome — a ‘smart-gnome.’ We’re so excited to see Wallace unleashing his latest invention, Norbot, into the world. However, his long-suffering pooch, Gromit, may be a little less sure …”

“Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” will hit Netflix on January 3rd, 2025. You can check out the first teaser trailer below:
