Going Down Under with “Last Days of the Space Age” [Interview]

We’re about to reveal some hidden talents with Radha Mitchell and Jesse Spencer for “Last Days of the Space Age”, and maybe get their Aussie cards revoked?

You may know Mitchell from her roles in “Silent Hill” or “Olympus Has Fallen,” and Spencer from “House” and “Chicago Fire.” Both are taking on a story close to home (ish) in this telling of the tale of the time Skylab came crashing into the lives of Western Australians.

More about “Last Days of the Space Age”:

Starring Mitchell and Spencer, “Last Days of the Space Age” is an eight-part dramedy series set in 1979 Western Australia, when Perth was at the center of the world’s headlines. A power strike threatens to plunge the region into darkness, while the city hosts the iconic Miss Universe pageant and the US space station, Skylab, crashes just beyond the city’s suburbs. Against this backdrop of international cultural and political shifts, three families in a tight-knit coastal community find their marriages, friendships and futures put to the test.

Iain Glen (“Game of Thrones,” “Silo“) also stars.

“Last Days of the Space Age” is streaming now on Hulu.
