Today the letter M stands for moving violation. A person dressed as the beloved “Sesame Street” character Cookie Monster was caught on camera speeding in Germany.

The images were taken by a roadside camera in the city of Dortmund, and show a driver in an unmistakable blue suit and huge googly eyes. The sweet-toothed motorist was busted going 60 mph in a 50 mph zone.

Vehicle registration reportedly traces back to a 57-year-old man living in the nearby town of Hagen. However, a big blue Cookie Monster suit makes it hard to tell who may have been driving. Not to mention that it is more than likely hindering the driver’s vision.

This costumed criminal is facing a €40 or $43.79 fine. We are sure a door-to-door search of Sesame Street will commence any day now. And don’t think the authorities aren’t on to Oscar the Grouch‘s trash can hideout!

You can catch more of Cookie Monster’s daring crimes and 19 of  “Sesame Street” ‘s 54 total seasons streaming on Max.
