How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

Across cultures, over many centuries, people knew that getting a tattoo was a pretty permanent thing. It made some people shy away from the commitment. However, with new laser technology, it is now possible to remove tattoos. And remove them properly. This is great news for those who want a tattoo removed, whether it is a former girlfriend’s name, one that was done poorly or misspelled, or if you have other reasons to want it gone. Renude laser tattoo removal is effective to the point where tattoos can be removed leaving the skin look completely clean. Here is a look at how getting a tattoo works and then how laser removal works so you can better prepare for the process.

    What a tattoo is

When you visit to get a tattoo, that person uses small needles to push the tattoo ink down into your skin, to create the design. It lodges in the dermis, which is the layer of skin that is in the middle. It is your body’s natural reaction to try and remove the ink as it is foreign. Smaller particles of ink over time do get flushed out and away, (that is why there can be fading over the years) but the larger particles remain. These can only be removed with the help of a special tattoo removing laser.

    What tattoo removal is

The problem with tattoo removal prior to lasers is that methods were not great at reaching into the skin and breaking up those larger particles. Now though they operate at a frequency that is able to get past the top layer of the skin and hit those large ink particles, breaking them up. When the pieces are small enough your body responds by flushing them out. It does take a number of sessions to get all the ink and the body to flush it out though. The exact number varies depending on the person, the tattoo, its size and so on. In general, a guide to expect is between 8 to 12 visits.

The light from the laser is a high-intensity type. When it reaches the large ink particles the energy is absorbed and the ink breaks into smaller pieces.

It is not the laser on its own that removes the ink it is the combination of the ink being broken up with the natural process of the body’s immune system pushing the ink away. It does not hurt the skin tissue. As a layer of ink is removed the tattoo will lighten.

    Renude laser tattoo removal

You do not have to hesitate about getting a tattoo. That fear about not being to undo it is no longer something that has to hold you back. You do not have to live with a tattoo you no longer want. Find out from Renude what kind of session length you can expect for the type of tattoo you have. How old the tattoo is, the type of ink used, as well the size will affect the outcome. Laser tattoo removal has come a long way in recent years in how effective it is, and how much more affordable it is.
