After months- wait, YEARS of complaining about living and doing business in California, Elon Musk has had enough. He has vowed to move the headquarters of social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and SpaceX from California to Texas. X’s main offices will move from San Francisco to Austin, and SpaceX from Hawthorne to Starbase, TX.
This move was prompted by Governor Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) signing a new law that bars school districts in CA from notifying parents of a child’s gender identification change. We’re not making that up- that’s the actual reason Musk gave.
It’s worth noting that Musk shares a transgender daughter with singer Grimes, and that they are estranged.
No word on when this move will take place.
