Someone Color-Graded “The Road Warrior” to Match “Fury Road”

Normally, we’re not fans of such…tricks. Especially when it comes to such iconic and important films of cinema history. Like anything from Dr. George Miller. Likewise, the day to day of using X (formerly Twitter) has continued to become a hellscape the likes of which Pinhead would never- in all his sights to show us- allow to happen. But, a recent video came across my feed, and it took me by pleasant surprise.

X user Vashi Nedomansky was given the idea by Todd Vaziri to color grade a classic scene from “Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior” (1982) to have it match “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015).

And you know what? It absolutely works.

Considering George Miller actually released the “Black & Chrome” edition of “Fury Road” (all in black and white), this doesn’t seem that out there of an idea.

Anyhow, check out the video below. And, if you need more of The Wasteland, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is currently playing the theaters world-wide.

Why do you do this to me Vaziri! https://t.co/fWpBmaBcxQ pic.twitter.com/9VVsxPmebM

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
