    Ariel Lavi’s film Dangerous Silence will be screened at Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, a Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying Film Festival

    A phenomenal moment for the Award- Winning International Film Producer and Screenwriter- Ariel Lavi. His film he wrote and produced in Nigeria “Dangerous Silence” will be screened at Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, a Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying Film Festival. 

    This isn’t the first time his films were screened at Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. In 2022, his film he produced in Mexico “Metanoia” was nominated Best Animated, Special Effects or Sci Fi and Best LGBTQ, his film he wrote and produced “Dangerous Silence” was nominated Best Trailer and

    his film he wrote and produced in Canada “This Won’t End Well” won Best Comedy/ Drama. In 2023, His film he wrote and produced in Nigeria ”Cycle of Poverty” was nominated Best African Film and his film he produced “Unicorns & Rainbows” was nominated Best International Drama Film. This year, the festival became a Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying Film Festival and that’s the reason why he sent the film he wrote and produced in Nigeria- “Dangerous Silence”.

    A film that was screened at the festival in the past, can be sent because of this.If the film will be screened in 2 Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying Film Festivals,  the film could be nominated to Canadian Screen Awards. The film won 21 awards,was nominated 12 times and was screened at Golden State Film Festival and Silicon Beach Film Festival at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.The film was nominated Best Nigerian Short Film at 19th Abuja International Film Festival. 

    He’s only 29 years old but he produced films in the US, Mexico, Nigeria, Dubai, Canada and so on . He is a judge at Sunset Film Festival and Hollywood Screenings Film Festival. His films won 131 awards and 59 nominations. 

    The film will be screened on 8-15 September at York Woods Library Theatre in Toronto, Canada. 

    In Canada his films won, were nominated, and were screened at Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift, Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, Alternative Film Festival and Couch Film Festival so far.
