College Student Sees UFO Outside UChicago Library

On a seemingly ordinary day on April 24, 2024, an extraordinary event occurred in the city of Chicago, Illinois. A student from the University of Chicago claims to have seen an unidentified flying object. Commonly referred to as a UFO, he saw it while studying inside the university’s Regenstein Library. This event, which may easily be mistaken for a piece of fiction, is reported by the student who truly believes he saw a UFO. It could however be nothing but a paper bag floating in the air. But for all intents and purposes, we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

The sighting took place on the fifth floor of the Regenstein Library. The student, who wishes to remain anonymous, was studying when something caught their attention from the corner of their eye. It was through the window that they first noticed an airborne object that at first glance, seemed like a conventional drone.

“I pulled out my phone to take a single photograph, which thankfully is a live photo (a short 2 second video), but the UFO was gone before I got a second one,” the viewer said. “As the UFO was moving, it was spinning in the air, which is visible in the photo. There appears to be a small beam in front of the UFO, but it may appear to be something pulling it along. As you can see in the picture, the sky was incredibly clear with few clouds.”

The student put on their glasses to get a better look and found that the object was unlike any drone they had ever seen or recognized. The UFO, as they came to describe it had features that were puzzling. It was metallic in nature, an almost silver color. A noticeable darker line ran through its center, dividing the top and bottom halves of the oval-shaped object. The UFO’s unique shape and composition left the student with more questions than answers.

Interestingly, the student has a unique background that lends credibility. They served in the US Air Force for six years, and consider themselves a professional plane spotter. So their ability to identify and describe aircraft is pretty reliable.
