We’re….not really sure to do with the information we’re about to impart to you. Oscar winner Jodie Foster has a very surprising suggestion for a film that everyone needs to see. The first makes perfect sense, and we agree- “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” Yes. Sure. Of course, a modern masterpiece of emotion, story, and performance. Absolutely everyone should see it.
But the other thing? Really?
“Well, Everything Everywhere All at Once,” Foster told Golden Globe nominee Greta Lee (“Past Lives“) in a piece for Interview. “Oh, and this is probably number one — the puppet movie Team America: World Police.”
I’m sorry…WHAT?! Freaking “Team America?!”
“A sense of humor is my touchstone, and I have a very dumb sense of humor,” Foster continued. “Sometimes with actors, even in the most dramatic circumstances, I like to laugh with them. I like to laugh about really intense things.”
The film actually celebrates its’ 20th [GASP] anniversary this year, and now we’re obsessed of the idea of singing the theme song with Foster. It was written and directed by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, who perhaps you’ve heard of through their little long-running animated series, “South Park.”
“Team America: World Police” is currently available to stream on Paramount+. You can catch Foster in “True Detective: Night Country” on MAX now, and “Nyad” on Netflix.
