What’s coming to Xbox Series X in 2024?

The Xbox Series X and Series S have recently marked their third anniversary of delivering exceptional gaming experiences to gamers across the world. With high frame rates, superior resolution, and ray tracing technology, it’s also no surprise that the system is still going strong.

Already, 2024 is shaping up to be a solid year for Microsoft, with some AAA releases in the works. If you’re eager to find out what’s in store, we’ve compiled a list of our favourites so far.

    Ark 2

While there is no release date as of yet, the survival adventure that is Ark 2 is set to be available late 2024. The game has been delayed but the wait will likely be worth it if it‘s anything like what we’ve seen from the series so far.

Famous actor Vin Diesel will be making an appearance, playing a leading role in the game’s story. The gameplay will feature ‘souls-like melee combat’ but the developers have also gone on to say that they will be doing something that the gaming realm has never seen before.

The next-gen MMORPG will be a console launch exclusive for the Xbox, meaning you’ll need an Xbox Series X console to play upon its release.

    Skull and Bones

It feels like it’s been forever waiting for the release of Skull and Bones. The game is finally ready to set sail after nearly a decade in development and we’re excited. If micro-management and customisation are your thing then you’ll adore the concept of looking after your own ship.

By finely-tuning your trusty vessel, you’ll be able to venture out onto open water and engage in ship-based combat. In the golden age of piracy, you’ll first start out as a low-ranking individual lost at sea as a result of a shipwreck. From there, you’ll work your way up until you’re looting rivals and performing notorious deeds.

The release date has finally been announced for Skull and Bones, which will be February 16th for Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation 5.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

A game where you can play as Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang? Yes, please. As the Suicide Squad, it’s your job to embark on the impossible task of killing the Justice League in an expansive and vibrant open-world Metropolis. With an eclectic mix of gunplay, melee combat, and free-roaming exploration, the experience is expected to be like no other. Fortunately, we don’t have long to wait as the game will be released on February 2nd.
