Ah yes, awards season. This morning, the Golden Globes announced their 2024 crop of nominees from the best in television and film. Surprising no one, “Barbie” and “Succession” pretty much swept every category they were up for. The billion-dollar Greta Gerwig-helmed film actually tied an old record for the most nominations by a film with 9, which was previously set by Bob Fossé‘s “Cabaret” in 1972.
The ceremony will take place January 7th, and air on it’s new home, CBS. They still don’t have a host, though. Literally everyone in town has turned the gig down.
