“Sonic 3” Gets First Look at Shadow, 2024 Release Date

Oh yeah, a third “Sonic The Hedgehog” live-action film is in the works, and today, we got our first look at it. Kinda sorta. It’s a simple photo, featuring a pair of sneakers and white-gloved fists, standing next to clapboard with a release date on it.

Shadow the Hedgehog, that you?

Jeff Fowler, who helmed “Sonic 2,” is directing this third outing, which is rumored to introduce the character of Shadow. Sure looks like that’s the case with this image!

Ben Schwartz is back as Sonic, Colleen O’Shaughnessey (who originally voiced the character) as Tails, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and James Marsden as Tom Wachowski. No word on if Jim Carrey is returning as Dr. Robotnik.

“Sonic 3” has an expected release date of December 20th, 2024.
