Fast food giant Taco Bell is asking fans to vote on new catchphrases for their iconic sauce packets. Rewards Members can vote through the app. The poll opens on July 23rd and the most popular catchphrases will be revealed the next day. Some phrases that rewards members can vote on are “Entering my _____ era,” “What’s your @,” and “If you won’t, then I will,” according to a press release.
The company is planning a redesign for the sauce packets for 2024, and this poll is the first step. The redesign will not only include the new catchphrases, but also a new colorful design. These sassy sauce packets first debuted their sayings in 2004. The catchphrases were such a big hit that they’ve even been made into Halloween costumes.
U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for Taco Bell, Taylor Montgomery, spoke of how the company has let fans impact their brand in previously. That the company realizes how important the sauce packets are to the people is an example of how they want to keep us happy. I know I’m not the only one who looks over each sauce packet I get, to read the catchphrase.
Sometimes those sauce packets know just what to say to lift my spirits, mostly they make my food even tastier. Personally I think “Entering my ____ era,” is an obvious choice to become an official catchphrase.
