Steve-O Arrested After Jumping Off London’s Tower Bridge

For twenty years, Steve-O and his co-stars have entertained audiences doing the idiotic, dangerous, and proved just what a human can survive without common sense. The “Jackass” movies are a constant source of entertainment for a large portion of the populace. In fact, “Jackass Forever,” which released recently, was a huge hit. In his most recent stunt, Steve-O found himself arrested by England police after leaping off the Tower Bridge in London, or as he called it, “Tower of London Bridge.” (Which isn’t correct, as there is a Tower Bridge, and a London Bridge.)

Johnny Knoxville, Sean “Poopies” McInerny, Rachel Wolfson and Steve-O in jackass forever from Paramount Pictures and MTV Entertainment Studios.

Steve-O posted on his Instagram his great dive into the waters below. Wearing Union Jack wellies, shorts, a shirt with I <3 London on it, bucket hat, and an umbrella as a tribute to Mary Poppins. The stunt got him immediately arrested by London police, though he didn’t seem terribly fussed. Nor did the police, apparently. According to his Instagram post, the police were amicable after he explained his reason for the stunt.

The stunt was to promote his upcoming comedy special in London, though there’s no official release date yet. It’s pretty much on brand for Steve-O. A publicity stunt that results in an arrest is just the kind of promotion he’s looking for. And more than likely will encourage followers to get tickets for the special as well.

Unfortunately, Steve-O’s excitement is a little overshadowed, however, by his relationship with “Jackass” co-star Bam Margera. Margera has been in the news a fair bit recently. Struggling with issues of substance abuse and other legal problems, Steve-O has tried hard to help Margera out. Sadly with few results. Regardless, he continues to encourage his friend to seek help and get sober.
