Tenacious D “Wicked Game” Music Video is Amazing

Do you love Jack Black? What about Kyle Gass? If you do, then you probably love Tenacious D. The dynamic duo of Black and Gass never cease to bring smiles to our faces. Just recently Tenacious D released their official cover of Chris Isaak‘s classic tune, “Wicked Game.” It’s apparently a fan favorite at their concerts.

Tenacious D doesn’t often do anything but small projects, but they’re like a favorite uncle. You don’t get to see them all the time, but you’re so happy when they come over.

The pair emulate Isaak’s original music video in which he takes a sultry romp along a tropical beach with supermodel Helena Christensen. Gass is in his undies, and Black is in a golden tiger print one-piece bathing costume. The two run along the beach in slow-motion, in their collective dad bod glory. Gass sporting a massive white beard, while Black has trimmed down his impressive two-tone face fuzz for the video. All the while Black’s voice croons Isaak’s lyrics as they splash through the waves together.

Alongside the cover, Tenacious D is also releasing their first single in five years. (If you don’t count “Peaches” written by Black for “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.”) This new single is called “Video Games.” Likely to be performed on Tenacious D’s current European events. Which starts with at Rock im Park in Nuremberg, Germany June 2nd. Ending at Hellfest in Clisson, France June 18th. If you can’t make it across the pond, don’t worry! They’ll be returning to Los Angeles to perform at the Video Game Awards and the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets for these events are available now.
