Go team Venture! Adult Swim is finally giving us a taste of the “The Venture Bros.” movie they teased in 2021. Its title will be the totally on brand; “The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart.” Plus some first-look footage that starts to answer a long-standing cliffhanger.

“The Venture Bros” movie is based on Adult Swim’s long-running animated series of the same name. Which premiered in 2004, and aired for 7 seasons over the span of 14 years. With various specials peppered around the inconsistent seasons. The show follows super-scientist Rusty Venture and his family as they battle various foes. But namely their arch nemesis, Baron Werner Ünderbheit! [Even though we all know it’s really The Monarch.]

The new film will follow a nationwide manhunt for Rusty’s son, Hank Venture, who disappeared at the end of season 7. This search leads to untold dangers and unexpected revelations, while The Monarch is literally out for Dr Venture’s blood. An imposing evil from the past reemerges to wreak havoc on the Ventures, The Guild, and, even the Monarch’s marriage. It will take friends and foes alike to restore the Ventures’ world to order… or end it once and for all.

The film stars Nina Arianda, Clancy Brown, John Hodgeman, Hal Lublin, Jane Lynch, Charles Parnell, Jay Pharoah, Steven Rattazzi, JK Simmons, and Dana Snyder. Series creators Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick (McCulloch’s pseudonym) will write and executive produce, with Publick directing.

We first got word of this film two years ago when Adult Swim announced they had three original movies coming. The movies are based on the animated shows “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” “Metalocalypse,” and, “The Venture Bros.” The “The Venture Bros.” movie will pick up right after the events of the final season. If the footage is any indicator, this movie will bring some closure after the show’s sudden cancellation in 2020.

We’ll keep you posted on updates about “The Venture Bros.” movie as they become available. Check out the first-look below:
