As the recording app is equipped with a range of features, you can record audio according to your needs. This article will guide you through the process of recording audio on Windows 11 using the Windows 11 built-in tools as well as some popular third-party toolkits.

    Record Audio on Windows 11 via Gemoo Recorder

    Audacity is a free, open-source screen and audio recording software that is available for Windows 11/10/8/7 as well as Mac computers.

    Gemoo Recorder allows you to record audio from multiple sources, including microphones and external devices, and save your recordings to one place. Therefore, it’s easy and convenient to record, save and share your recordings.

    Step 1. Install Gemoo Recorder for free on your Windows 11 computer. If you’re a new user, create a new account, or simply log in using your Google account.

    Step 2. Choose the Audio Only mode if you need to record your audio only. There are also another 3 modes you can choose. When you’re prepared, click on the Start Recording button to continue.

    Step 3. When you finish recording the audio, tap on the Red Stop button.

    Step 1. To open the Voice Recorder app, click on the Start menu and search for “Voice Recorder.” Alternatively, you can find the app in the “Windows Accessories” folder in the Start menu.

    Step 2. Once you have opened the Voice Recorder app, click on the “Record” button to start recording. You can also use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + R” to start and stop recording.

    Step 3. If you need to take a break while recording, you can pause the recording by clicking on the “Pause” button or using the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + P.” To resume recording, click on the “Resume” button or use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + R.”
