“Clueless” star Alicia Silverstone has revealed she would be open to making a “Blast From the Past” sequel with co-star Brendan Fraser. When asked by a fan if she would make a follow-up to the film, Silverstone gushed about her former co-star. “With Brendan? I would do anything with Brendan. It was so much fun.”

Fraser, who recently won the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in “The Whale,” has been the talk of Hollywood. With all the attention he’s been receiving during awards season, some of his fans have been asking for him to return to some of his most beloved roles. And it looks like his former co-star is on board with the idea.

Silverstone went on to talk about Fraser’s recent win at the Academy Awards and how happy she was for him. “I just saw Brendan after he won his Oscar and he’s so cute and so sweet,” she said. “He talked in his speech about how we all go through this really hard time and you have to grow and it’s part of life that you struggle. And then look what happened to him! So yes, I’m happy to do that.”

“Blast From the Past” Was a Box Office Success

During the 1990s, Brendan Fraser was a well-known actor in the romantic and comedic genres. He starred in many popular movies such as “The Mummy,” “Encino Ma,n” and “Blast From the Past.” In “Blast From the Past,” Fraser played the character of Adam Webber. Adam spent his entire life in a fallout shelter with his parents, portrayed by Christopher Walken and Sissy Spacek. The shelter was constructed during the Cold War era, and his dad locked them inside it for 35 years.

As the movie progresses, the doors to the shelter are finally unlocked. Adam, now a 35 year old man, ventures out into a world he had never experienced before. While exploring the world outside the shelter, he falls in love with Eve Rustikov, played by Alicia Silverstone.

The film, directed by the late Hugh Wilson, was a box office success, earning a total of $40.3 million worldwide. It remains a fan-favorite of the romantic comedy genre. A must own owing to the charming performances by Fraser and Silverstone, along with the unique storyline that captured audiences’ attention.

It remains to be seen whether a “Blast From the Past” sequel will actually happen. But it’s clear that both Silverstone and Fraser are open to the idea. Given their past on-screen chemistry, it’s safe to say that fans would love to see them reunite for another film.
