Get Engaged at Cracker Barrel on Valentine’s Day, Get Free Food

This Valentine’s Day, put your love over a barrel. The Cracker Barrel, specifically. On the day when couples are at their most romantic, the restaurant has provided five lucky customers with a chance to win free food for a year. All you have to do is propose. Yup! That’s all. Profess your undying love, commitment, and lifelong dedication at Cracker Barrel. The pinnacle of romance.

Of course, you can’t just go there and tie the knot over loaded steak fries. You have to film it, and post it on Instagram between February 10th and the 16th. A mandatory caption must be included as to why the couple decided to propose at a Cracker Barrel. Uh…isn’t the aim to get a year’s supply of free food? Seems a little silly for couples to explain that. Entrants have to include the hashtags #ISaidYesAtCrackerBarrel and #Contest to be considered.

But that’s okay. If you’re not ready to pledge your troth to your beloved, Cracker Barrel has a more reasonable Valentine’s Day promo. If you purchase two entrees, you’ll get a free dessert for you and your honey to share. That seems a sight more reasonable than getting engaged. As enticing as the draw of free food is, we would encourage couples to seek out truly romantic venues for popping the question. Then again, for some, the rustic, down-home flair may be just what they’re looking for. Eagerly waiting for their partner to present them with a ring over a basket of fried pickles. So who are we to judge?
