Monarchs Beat Jaguars by the Skin of Their Teeth

Basketball is arguably one of the most popular sports today. There are lots of leagues and millions of fans enjoying them as their favorite teams and players ascend the court and dominate their opponents. Their favorites don’t always win, but their fans stick with them to the end.

This kind of popularity brings basketball to many TV channels as well as on various digital platforms online. Some of them happen to be online sportsbooks that cover basketball future schedule timetables as well as matches for other sports like baseball, MMA, boxing, and more. The main thing about these sites is to enjoy them responsibly.

The NCAA had an interesting match recently where the South Alabama Jaguars faced the Old Dominion Monarchs. The match featured a top-notch performance from both teams, but when it came to the score, the Monarchs beat the Jaguars by just 2 points. A victory is a victory, even though it’s a Pyrrhic one.

    The Jaguar’s Jaw Slapped

As mentioned before, the Monarchs proved their superiority, even by 2 points. The final score was 66-64 for the mighty Monarchs which lets them add another victory to their track record. The game took place at the Mitchell Center where the Monarchs slapped the jaguar’s jaw making the wild cat retire and think about its consequences.

The Monarch’s team was made up of Williams, Jenkins, Long, Wade, Smith, Scott-Greyson, Fields, Essien, and Steins. Although Long was 37 minutes into the game, he managed to score 11 points. Jenkins carried the team during the match as he scored 16 points. Long was pretty active during the match as he managed to perform 13 rebounds and assisted 3 players in scoring.

Williams would be the third player ranked according to points as he scored 9 of them during his 22 minutes. He was followed by Baker, Greyson, Essien, and then Fields. In the end, their performance proved to be better than the one of the Jaguars which is why they snagged another victory.

The Monarchs Remain on the Throne

The Jaguars put their best foot forward during the match and decided to dethrone the monarchs. They clawed and scratched their way to the top, but only needed 3 points or more to prove their point. They didn’t leave the monarchs scathed as a Pyrrhic victory will have them watching their backs.

When it comes to the players, the Jaguars’ team was made up of Samuel, Moore, Jones, White, Franklin, Parham, Brown, Kearing, and Ormiston. The player that scored the most points was Moore as he managed to throw the ball throw the hoop 19 times. He was on the court for 34 minutes and made all of them count. No one on the Monarchs’ team could match his ferocity.

Parham scored 13 points during the game and Jones managed to score 11. He was followed by Brown with 8 points, White with 6 points, Kearing with 4, and Ormiston with 3. Franklin didn’t score a point but he performed 2 rebounds. Brown has the leading place when it comes to rebounds as he performed 7 of them.

This might be another loss for the team’s books, but they played pretty well during both games. They managed to score 29 points during the first game and dominated the second one with 35 points. But the Monarchs dominated the first one with 34 points and lost the second game with 32 points. The final score was in favor of the Monarchs.

In conclusion, both teams did their best during both games. The match was pretty close, but the Monarchs won in the end. They won by just 2 points which means they’ll remember this encounter with the Jaguars.
