With January 1st fast approaching, it’s time to start making New Year’s resolutions. Goals pertaining to people’s health like losing weight, quitting smoking, etc. are among the most common. A 2021 study showed that approximately 64% of people give up on their New Year’s resolutions by the end of January.
Well, Halo Top may have a solution to help people reach their fitness resolutions, by giving them free ice cream.
While that may sound counterproductive, Halo Top is a low-calorie, high-protein ice cream. And while no ice cream is healthy, you could do a lot worse than this for a sweet treat. The company announced on Wednesday that they are releasing a new line of ice-cream-inspired workout gear that fans can get, for free, if they maintain their resolutions for 66 days. Since several studies have shown it takes roughly 66 days for people to build a new habit. But they are also offering a free pint of ice cream for those who can’t make it that far.
Starting January 1st, Halo Top will launch their Goal Getter website, which allows users to check off their daily resolutions. The exact healthy habit/routine you build is up to you. It could be as simple as making sure you drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water or go on a 30-minute walk every day. Or as big as running a mile each day or totally changing your diet to be vegan, keto, etc. [Halo Top also offers vegan and Keto options]. Building the habit and sticking to it is the goal, any step no matter how small can help improve your health.
Those that make it to January 7th are eligible for a free pint of ice cream. Those who make it to March 31st are eligible for the workout gear. Which consists of Halo Top-themed exercise equipment, including yoga mats, resistance bands, ice cream scoop-shaped kettlebell, and sweatbands for your ice cream container. There is even the possibility of getting a week-long wellness retreat. Not too shabby for 7 or 66 days worth or work.
