Disney Parks is bringing back Disneyland After Dark, a series of special, separate ticketed events guests can enjoy with all kinds of fun experiences. It’ll start with an old favorite, and a new event aimed at younger audiences.
The first returning event is Sweethearts’ Nite, which will take place on seven different “date nights” in Disneyland park – the most ever for a Disneyland After Dark event. The night will feature a special themed fireworks show, a Royal Ball hosted by Aladdin and Jasmine, a moonlit cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat with the sounds of a live jazz ensemble Island music from a Polynesian trio, and photo opportunities with couples and spots inspired by romantic scenes like “Lady and the Tramp” and “The Little Mermaid.”
Disney also announced the debut of a brand new Princess Nite. A “celebration under the stars where adventurous heroines and aspirational hearts unite! With shimmering décor, special photo opportunities, themed food and beverage offerings, commemorative keepsakes, and characters galore, you’ll be ready to step into your own adventure of bravery and grace.” It will include a royal welcome at the Disneyland Train Station featuring Princess Minnie Mouse and Princess Daisy Duck with fanfare trumpeters, a musical concert celebrating heroines including Moana, Merida, and more accompanied by live vocalists, a high-energy, candy-themed dance party at the Tomorrowland stage with Vanellope Von Schweetz, and photo backdrops inspired by Disney films like “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Princess Diaries.”

Disneyland After Dark begins with a three-hour pre-party mix-in for ticketholders from 6pm-9pm on the Disneyland park side. The ticketed event runs 9pm-1am. Guests will receive unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the party, plus commemorative keepsakes, including a souvenir credential and event guide map.
Sweethearts’ Nite runs January 31st, February 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 14th, and 16th. Princess Nite will take place on March 7th and 9th. We don’t yet know if Star Wars Nite or Villains’ Nite are returning, but we’ll let you know.
A limited number of tickets will go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders on December 12th. Tickets for the general public go on sale December 14th. They will likely sell out.
