    Bam Margera Hospitalized, On Ventilator

“Jackass” alum and inveterate prankster Bam Margera has reported been placed on a ventilator after contracting pneumonia, furthering complications from Covid-19.

Margera was hospitalized earlier this week in San Diego, citing respiratory issues that were determined to come from pneumonia. He then tested positive for Covid while in the hospital, and his doctors made the decision to move him to a ventilator. He’s being treated in the ICU, but his condition is reported as stable.

It is unclear at this time if Margera’s health issues are related to his recent struggle with drugs and alcohol. After partially completing his court-ordered rehab treatment, Margera became the focus on the so-called “Free Bam” movement. Fueled by Britney Spears, the “Free Bam” movement speculated the reality TV star had been kept under a similar conservatorship. Ending his rehabilitation program early, Margera has been spotted partying in Atlanta and Las Vega as recently as September.

His family has denied the speculations of the Free Bam movement, and noted it has mostly served to “confuse Bam and hurt his recovery process.” In any case, we hope Margera recovers quickly and is able to get whatever help he needs.

    UPDATE

Margera has been released from the hospital.
