Adam Driver has quickly become a big name in Hollywood, and it’s not hard to see why. Alongside his appearances in the “Star Wars” franchise as Kylo Ren, the actor also starred in “Marriage Story,” “House of Gucci,” and the musical-drama film, “Annette.” It doesn’t hurt that he’s hosted “Saturday Night Live” three times in the 6 years, either. It only seemed like a matter of time before Disney would come knocking on his door again to recruit him into their other big franchise of films, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Have they already?

Of all the Marvel Studios films on the horizon, the biggest of them is arguably “Fantastic Four.“ The first family of Marvel have seen different film iterations, but none of them under the banner of Disney’s MCU. Even though the film was previously announced for 2024, its been delayed to Valentine’s Day 2025.
There have been no official casting decisions, even though John Krasinski did play Reed Richards in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” So, it’s easy to fancast who would be perfect for not just the Fantastic Four themselves, but also their main adversary, Doctor Doom.

Current rumors indicate Adam Driver may have met with Marvel Studios about a role in the upcoming film. So of course, speculation is currently high that maybe, just maybe, he’ll be Doom.
Driver is a big name, and the Fantastic Four is a highly anticipated project. It’s important to take this rumor in context, though. It’s not unreasonable to think Marvel Studios would want Driver for something, but there is very little evidence to think this is actually going to happen.

If anything, this is evidence of how important the Fantastic Four franchise is to Marvel fans. And, if we can speculate on that a bit more, Doctor Doom fans. Doom is arguably the most important Marvel villain to have not appeared in the MCU yet. Sure there’s Galactus, but even the devourer of worlds isn’t as revered as Doom is. The great Victor von Doom is a key player in a number of different storylines, especially Secret Wars. Nailing down the right person to play Doom isn’t just integral to the “Fantastic Four” film, but also to the MCU’s future in general.
Needless to say, whenever we get an official casting announcement for Doom or any of the titular heroes, we’ll let you know.
