Hasbro Releases Selfie Series Action Figures for Retail

Ever wanted to be a Power Ranger? Or a G.I. Joe? Well, Hasbro has made that dream a reality. At least at miniature scale. They’ve released a line of action figures coined their Selfie Series. Customers can take selfies and have their faces 3-D printed and attached to a variety of action figures to choose from.

Originally released as San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) exclusives, the figures will be available for widespread purchase later this month. There’s little doubt in our minds that collectors and nerds won’t leap at the chance to have their faces immortalized in plastic.

As far as ordering one, the process is a little complicated. It’s limited to the Hasbro mobile app. The front-facing cameras of cell phones have the best resolution for photos. You’ll then submit five different, even-lit angles of the head and face. Then color match the hair and facial hair and choose the base of your choice.

The result will be a near accurate likeness of your face, perched heroically on the body of your favorite plastic hero. The technology of 3-D printing has advanced so far that even small details are captured and the faces really come alive.

This could be you!! – Hasbro

14 options are available from different series, including Power Rangers, Star Wars, and more. Originally priced at $60, the figures have seen a price increase to $80. Package contents will remain the same, as well as the time frame for delivery: between 45 to 60 days based on demand. The Selfie Series is expected to launch September 30th, 2022.

More information can be found at Hasbro Pulse.
