Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed audiences have the power to determine if a “Fantastic Beasts 4” and “5″ happen. This news comes on the heels of “Secrets of Dumbledore” not doing well in theaters.
There are several reasons for this. The most recent being Ezra Miller‘s arrest, and continual odd behavior. Of course there is also the Johnny Depp replacement controversy, which has been highly divisive among fans. (The less said about troublesome author JK Rowling‘s anti- trans beliefs, the better.)
Or could it be the magic is simply gone from WB’s Wizarding World?
China has edited portions of “Secrets of Dumbledore” to remove any/all indication of Dumbledore’s (Jude Law) being gay. Other markets could follow.
According to Variety, there’s no screenplay for the 4th “Fantastic Beasts” film. The original pitch (and public reveal) was 5 films. The outlet goes on to say Warner Bros. Pictures is hesitant to give the remaining 2 films the greenlight with poor box office performance and ongoing controversy.
“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” is currently in theaters now. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
