If you’re stumped on what to get your mom for Mother’s Day, how about something she can leave for you when she’s gone? It sounds morbid, but hear me out! Something I really really wanted from my Nana was a journal; some record of her life from her point of view. Unfortunately that didn’t happened, so I’ll be left wondering the rest of my life. But now that I’m a mother, I’m aware of wanting to leave things behind like that. Things I think my kids would like to know about when I’m gone.
Some moms might not like this sentimental idea. There are so many gifts that are for ‘honoring’ your mother. But what if your mom is a real badass lady? What if she doesn’t like to journal or take shit from anyone? That’s where these ideas might be helpful. Check them out! We’re pretty sure these would make a great and unique gift for Mother’s Day.
Which is May 8th by the way.

Daily Gratitude journal pages with prompts for ‘Asshole of the Day,’ ‘Today I’m Proud I Didn’t,’ ‘Today, I’m Happy I Did,’ ‘I’m Lucky To Have,’ and more!
This journal is great for journaling your sassy thoughts and wisdom, writing notes, keeping track of the family budget, jotting down favorite recipes or just being snarky.
I got this journal for my daughter so that she could keep track of what she likes through the years. I have to say though this would be a great gift for moms as well because who wouldn’t like to know what she’s obsessed about. What is a must have in her bag? What are her favorite recipes? Plus there are totally awesome pages that want you to doodle, which an art inclined mom such as myself would love to do.
