“Fast 10” Will Take Final Ride in Two Parts

In the great words of Dominic Torretto: nothing is stronger than family. Which is probably why the “Fast & The Furious” family had decided to prolong their last ride by splitting the 10th installment into two parts. This is pretty standard for big franchises. “Twilight,” “Harry Potter,” and even “The Hunger Games” all did the two part split for a final chapter.

Vin Diesel has long said that “Fast 10” will be final installment, and confirmed that it will indeed by split into two parts. While speaking at a press conference in 2021, Diesel said:

“As you know we get to travel to all these wonderful places. And they’re part of the reason why Fast 10 has to be broken into two different movies – it’s because there’s so much ground to cover. And there’s so many places in so many locations in the world that we have to visit.”

It was previously reported that the franchise would be 10 and 11, but that has been changed to parts 1 and 2 set to film back to back. The first part is currently slated to be released May 19, 2023 with part two set to be released the following year in 2024. The two part finale will be directed by longtime franchise filmmaker Justin Lin, and in addition to all of the family returning (minus The Rock despite desperate pleas from Diesel), the 10th installment also adds Jason Mamoa and “The Suicide Squad” stand out Daniela Melchior to the cast.

The release dates are always subject to change, and there isn’t that much else that’s known about the upcoming installments. I’m sure as filming ramps up will get more details about what’s in store for Dom and friends in their one….last….two part….ride.

“Fast 10 Part One” is due out in 2023, with “Fast 10 Part Two” following in 2024.
