After decades of planning, a live-action “Voltron” may finally be happening. A project from “Red Notice” helmer Rawson Marshall Thurber, word has spread of a package circulating Hollywood. According to reports, the possible “Voltron” pitch included a reel.

Netflix is apparently NOT in the running for a possible home for the project. Which is strange, considering both “Voltron: Legendary Defender” and “Red Notice” are both at home on the streaming service.
Thurber will direct, and will reportedly co write the script with Ellen Shanman.
At present, sounds like Amazon, Universal, and Warner Bros. Pictures are the most anxious to land “Voltron.”
We’ll let you know what else we hear about this and other news.
