Fans of The Muppets, that news we’ve been waiting for is here! Disney+ finally heard us, and is bringing an all new series to the streaming service starring our beloved felt friends. Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, the talented rock band we’ve seen in pretty much every Muppets project, will star.

“Muppets Mayhem” was written by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta, and Jeff Yorkes. The Electric Mayhem Band will be recording their first studio album! Lilly Singh will play Nora, a junior A&R executive who has to try to wrangle the group.

As usual, we’ll have Dr. Teeth (Barretta) on vocals and keyboards, Animal (Eric Jacobson) on drums, Floyd Pepper (Matt Vogel) on vocals and bass, Janice (David Rudman) on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot (Dave Goelz) on saxophone, and Lips (Peter Linz) on trumpet.

President of ABC Signature Jonnie Davis said of the news:

“Adam F. Goldberg is our resident Muppet enthusiast at Signature and getting to play in the sandbox with Bill, a longtime Muppet performer, as well as these beloved characters was a dream come true for him, Bill and Jeff. Their take is fresh, fun, musical and of course, hilarious. We couldn’t be happier to be the studio that is helping them get the band back together.”

Executive Producer and SVP of Disney Live Entertainment and The Muppets Studio David Lightbody said:

“We are so excited to bring the story of The Electric Mayhem Band to the front and center of this new series. They’ve been entertaining audiences since The Muppet Show, which debuted 45 years ago, so it’s wonderful that these characters are finally getting to play lead rather than supporting roles.”

There isn’t a known release date for the project yet, but we’ll let you know what we hear.

She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
