Billie Joe Armstrong, front man of the seminal punk rock band Green Day, has launched an online appeal to help locate his much beloved ’62 Chevrolet II that was recently stolen. Taking to his social media accounts, the singer shared information in the hope that someone has seen the classic vehicle.
A car that has been in his family for most of the singer’s life, the pearl Chevy II was recently stolen from Armstrong’s property. Armstrong is asking for any and all information anyone might have to be reported to Costa Mesa police in hope of finding the distinctive classic car.

Armstrong is a well-known lover of classic cars, and in the past few years has auctioned a classic convertible Chevy Nova SS, and a ’61 Chevy Greenbrier (complete with a ‘GRNDAY’ license plate) from his personal collection.
Armstrong and the rest of Green Day are currently working on new music, expected to be unveiled soon.
