Fans are excited for the long-awaited comeback of “Trivial Pursuit,” which last episode aired December 30th, 1994. It was originally hosted by Wink Martindale, with Randy West announcing. The show was loosely based off the board game Trivial Pursuit by Hasbro.
Today, we got news that LeVar Burton, who we were hoping was going to take over as full-time “Jeopardy!” host, will be hosting the “Trivial Pursuit” return!

The new show is being executive produced by Burton via LeVar Burton Entertainment. Hasbro and Entertainment One are also producing. There is currently no network attached, but we expect a lot of bidders now that Burton is involved.
“LeVar Burton has been an iconic member of American pop culture for decades from Roots to Reading Rainbow to Star Trek and beyond. His love for intellectual curiosity paired with his ability to connect with audiences worldwide make him the perfect partner to bring Hasbro’s beloved trivia game to households in a new and exciting way,” said Tara Long, President of Global Unscripted Television at eOne.
We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
